Camp Staff
- Mr. Jonathan Hall - Mr. Hall, the lead camp teacher, is currently an assistant principal in Wilson County Schools. He has worked with the camp since it began in 2004.
- Mr. Patrick Phoebus - Mr. Phoebus is a science teacher at Hunters Lane High School and has worked with the camp since it began in 2005.
- Mr. Jim Woodbury - Mr. Woodbury is a science teacher at Martin Luther King High School and has worked with the camp since it began in 2005.
- Dr. Joe Lopez - Dr. Lopez is the coordinator for BEST Camp. While he has limited contact with the campers themselves, he is responsible for camp publicity, curriculum planning, enrollment, and other administrative duties. He is also the contact for the research study associated with the camp. Dr. Lopez has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Theatre from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He received his Ph.D. in Pathology from Vanderbilt in 2003 and completely his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from Vanderbilt's Peabody College in the spring of 2006.
